马融、郑玄是东汉时期两位著名的经学家和文献学家,他们在中国学术史上都占有重要地位,对后世影响颇大。《后汉书》有传。但是《世说新语·文学》篇开头却载有一段关于马融追杀他的弟子郑玄的希奇古怪的故事。全文如下: 郑玄在马融门下,三年不得相见,高足弟子传授而已。尝算浑天不合,诸弟子莫能解;或言玄能者,融召令算,一转便决,众咸骇服。及玄业成辞归,既而融有“礼乐皆东”
