数学思想是指现实世界的数量关系和空间形式反映到人的意识之中,其结果是经过思维活动而产生的,它是对数学理论与数学事实的本质认识,而数学方法是以数学为工具进行科学研究的方法.数学方法与数学思想在数学知识中起着奠基性的作用,是学生提高数学能力必不可少的.在初中阶段我们学习数学常用的方法有:数形结合的思想方法、函数与方程思想、分类讨论的思想方法、类比思想、方程思想、整体思想、化归思想等.本文就分类讨论思想简述一下自己在教学中的看法.
