六合区东北部的人文古镇金牛湖街道,山灵水秀,风物清嘉,历史久远,文化厚重,世界名曲《茉莉花》便发源于境内的金牛山脚下。金牛湖中心小学便是坐落于此的一所有着百年历史的名校。学校现占地21902平方米,建筑总面积7170平方米,绿化面积为7900平方米,现有教职工93人,区学科带头人3人,区优秀青年教师8人,骨干教师21人,教师本科学历为49人,专科学历33人。现有教学班32个,学生1540人。
