Discourse teaching refers to teaching words and sentence patterns in a specific context, advocating the integration of words into sentences, starting from the whole, and presenting students with complete language concepts. The core idea of discourse teaching is to create a context in classroom teaching that allows students to experience, learn and use language in context, and more specifically to activate meaningful language output through meaningful language input. Discourse teaching is not simply the teaching of discourse knowledge. It always takes students as the main body and aims at developing students’ ability of using integrated language. It enables students to perceive and understand
