Jazz musicians and jazz songs have often appeared in the writings of the French writer, J.M.G.Le Clezio, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2008, since the first novel The Litigation Record. Jazz in his early novels was mainly related to the theme of “City ” “Modernity ”; in later novels, jazz as a tolerant, melting furnace music that absorbed the influence of different regions and cultures, The cultural exchange in concern and identity construction echoes. In addition, Jazz not only resonates with the theme of Leclazio, but also its stylistic features such as segmentation, swaying, overlapping phrases and colloquialism are also reflected in the writer’s language. This article explores Le Klezizi’s jazz complex from three perspectives: urban and modernity, identity construction, and the jazz style of novel language.
