Statically indeterminate beams and rigid frames are an important part of modern building structures. The well-known three-moment equation, which has been available for more than one hundred years, is still one of the important solutions to the continuous beam, but the three-moment equation cannot be applied to a rigid frame. In this paper, the five-moment equation is deduced, and the exact solution of the statically indeterminate beam and its non-lateral rigid frame can be obtained. The five-moment equations are also the same as all other exact solutions.
