提高选拔任用干部的公信度是我国民主政治建设的基本要求。中国共产党历来重视干部选拔任用工作。新时期中国共产党提高选拔任用干部公信度取得了较大成就:选拔任用干部观念从“伯乐相马”走向“赛场选马”;选拔任用干部模式从单一走向多元;选拔任用干部程序从神秘走向民主;选拔任用干部过程从自律走向监督。当前中国共产党提高选拔任用干部公信度,必须坚持民主公开,提高选拔任用干部过程的公信度;必须强调能力素质,提高选拔任用干部客体的公信度;必须注重公正择优,提高选拔任用干部主体的公信度。
