Approved by the Societies Office of the Ministry of Construction and reported to the Department of Civil Affairs of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Planning and Management Committee of the China Urban Planning Association was formally established. On October 10th, the establishment meeting and planning management experience exchange meeting was held in the ancient city of Xi’an. The Planning Management Committee is a second-level organization of the China Urban Planning Association. It is the first working committee established by the Association since its establishment in July this year. Its purpose is to unite the majority of urban planning management workers, follow the party’s and national guidelines and policies, accept the directives of the competent government departments, and strengthen the urban planning and management in the establishment of a socialist market economy.
