木材是人类使用最早的土木工程材料之一。在我国,木结构建筑历史悠久,技术高超。木材具有许多优良性质:轻质高强、耐冲击、易加工、热工性能好、具有一定的弹性和塑性、纹理美观、装饰性好。但木材也存在明显缺点,如构造不均匀性,各向异性,易吸水导致形状、尺寸、强度等物理、力学性能变化,长期处于干湿交替环境木材的耐久性变差,易燃,易腐,天然疵病等,致使木材的应用受到限制。本文对木材在土木工程中的应用进行简要的分析。
