一、轉弱为强 1954年9月,我校举行健康檢查,在1928名学生中,發育不反的虛弱兒童占20%,脊柱弯曲的占11%,患砂眼的占32%,有的学生还患牙病、耳病、皮膚病、扁桃腺肥大,胸部异常、肺病、心臟病等病症。許多学生由于身体不健康,上課时往往沒有精神听講,一个叫王家魁的学生甚至上唱歌课也在半睡眠的狀态,每天请病假的人数也很多。沒有疑問,这对于学生的学習是有很坏的影响的。为了改变这种狀况,我們接受中国医大衛生学保健組織教研组的建議,先在一、二年級成立兩个保健班,并且挑选了兩位工作积極,有教育經驗、热爱孩子的教师担任班主任。保健班的学生是经过医生檢查和根据班主任平素的了解挑选出来的。这些入主要是一些身体發育与同年龄發育标准相差很大的学生、病后虚弱的学生、骨胳和皮下脂肪發育不良但無傳染病的学生以及經常害病的學生。为了在比較中看出保健班
