Although Tang Junyi discussed more about Zhu Xi, the main arguments were presented in the second book, “The Original Principles of Chinese Philosophy (3)” and “Original Principles of Chinese Philosophy”, and he did not intend to reconstruct the whole of Zhu Xi System, but to adopt the macroscopic view of the history of philosophy as the entry point for each philosophy. As the academic community knows, he is proficient in the Hegelian dialectical philosophy of Germany and uses his historical dialectics to study and interpret the changing history of Chinese philosophy. He believes that Chinese philosophical reason has a life-long succession and a long-standing history of endeavor. He tries to use the dialectics of history to melt all the similarities and differences in Chinese philosophy.
