The replacement of fine-grained ground with sand and gravel is an effective method for preventing and controlling freezing damage to buildings in cold regions and is widely used at home and abroad. The frost heave sensitivity of frozen sand and gravel was frozen, and the frost heaving rate was used as a classification index. It is mainly affected by the content of fine-grained soil and the freezing conditions. The results of the experimental study show that in the open-pit system, the frost-swelling rate η of sand and gravel material increases with power function as the lowering of the freezing rate Vf and the increase of the content of fine-grained soil C. After multiple regression analysis, the relationship can be satisfactorily fitted with the formula η=B_0V_f~(B1)C~(B2), and has been mapped to corresponding diagrams. They are reasonable for selecting material and designing cushions for each engineering design and construction department. Thickness and basic embedded depth and other aspects of the reference value.
