煤炭生产是地下作业,经常受水、火、瓦斯、煤尘、顶板等自然灾害的侵扰。由于地质条件的不同,开拓部署和采煤方法也不同,先掘后采,采掘工作面分散,工作面不断移动,生产环节多,特别是衰老矿井问题更多。河北省七个统配煤矿中,衰老矿区就占三个,就全国来讲,衰老矿区也占三分之一以上。衰老矿区的一个共同特点是:人多、摊子大、产量少、效率低、经济效益不佳。因此,研究如何提高衰老矿井的经济效益问题就显得十分重要。
