2009年10月29日,徐肖冰老人走了。本刊第12期以他和他老伴——侯波老师在“鸟巢”前的合影作封面,以怀念这位从延安走来的老一辈摄影家,我们深深感到一代大师渐行渐远的苍凉和无尽的瞩望。令人宽慰的是,转过年来第二季度,“徐肖冰杯”全国摄影大展就开始征稿了。这是继沙飞奖、侯登科奖、石少华奖设立之后又一个以摄影家名字命名的大奖。这是由徐老的家乡——浙江桐乡市与中国摄影家协会联合主办的一个全国性展览,意在表彰那些“影像关注社会,艺术传达思想”的作品和摄影师。虽然我们对“徐肖冰杯”这样的提法不很习惯,觉得称为“徐肖冰摄影奖”更为妥帖,但这个奖项的设立还是显示了徐老家乡人民的文化价值判断和远见,也代表了摄影界后人的共识。我们举双手赞成设立这个奖。评选的过程从头至尾就是研讨会。就我们的个人经验来说,觉得这个研讨会开得严肃认真,有了不同观点的真正交锋。评委的构成来自不同方向,观点差异比较大,但大家出于对徐老的一份真诚,都平心静气,小心而耐心地陈述自己的观点。其实,这次征稿采取与全国影展一样的分类方法,正好把当前摄影界的现状一股脑端给了大家,7万多张照片,有5万张是在几天内从屏幕上翻看,劳烦之板。而每个评委都在忐忑不安的状态下困惑,比如刘树勇在思想与思想贫困之间困惑;孙京涛在关注现实、敢于担当与游山玩水、浮光掠影之间困惑;陈小波在徐肖冰这个名字与不搭调照片之间困惑;任悦在新闻更真实,还是艺术更真实之间困惑;杨大洲在艺术不艺术,传统的艺术哪里去了的问题上困惑……评委是认真的,敢于说出不同意见。通过评选,大大加深了彼此之间的了解。为了让广大读者系统了解这次评选的观点、作品和研讨过程,启发大家从更多方面、更多角度思考问题,实实在在地推进摄影创作,本期特刊发这次评选结束后召开的研讨会纪要,敬请关注。同时,我们希望有更多的人参与讨论,并给本刊来稿。来稿请发责任编辑电子邮箱yanglijun@chnaphoto.cc October 29, 2009, Xu Xiaobing elderly gone.
