Objective: To explore the relationship between body mass index before pregnancy, lipid metabolism and hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy. Methods: A case-control study design was used. Cases of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy in maternal and child health care hospital from 2008 to 2009, were divided into gestational hypertension (GH), mild preeclampsia (M-PE), severe preeclampsia group S-PE), a total of 330 cases. In the control group, 296 pregnant women were selected as normal pregnant women during the same period as the case group. Subjects were surveyed before pregnancy weight, serum TG, TC, APOA, APOB, HDL-C levels. Results: The body mass index (BMI), serum TG, TC and APOB levels in patients with severe preeclampsia were significantly higher than those in control group and GH group, and the HDL-C levels were significantly lower than those in control group. Conclusion: The imbalance of lipid metabolism is related to the incidence of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy.
