從實際工作出發,及時地總結經驗教訓,是提高幹部、改進工作極其重要的一環。可是從某些校長教師對於總結工作這件事的態度來看,或者從某些學校的總結來看,都存在很大的問題,亟需改進。有不少校長、教師把總結看作只是向領導上(教師向學校領導、學校向上級領導)「交差事」、敷衍了事。有的要上級一催再催,才把總結送去。他們把總結當作額外負擔,一到學期末,就搖著頭說「又要總結了!」這時,他們並不去認真地組織教師具體地總結自己的經驗;只是馬馬虎虎佈置一下,然後由校長一人或者加上教導主任,坐在房間裹把情況一兜,再從這些「總結」中專找個別「例子」,就下筆一揮總結起來。因而這些總結便不免於主觀自生、印象排列。
