Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Research Institute of Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. undertakes major project of science and technology in Zhejiang Province (priority theme) social development project “development and application of alternative technologies for low-carbon HCFC-22 research and development,” passed the inspection organized by the Provincial Science and Technology Department. The project achieved a low carbon alternative to the HCFC-22, the most widely used high-GWP ODS in the RAC sector. The project is based on the physical properties of HFC-161 such as thermodynamics, toxicity, combustion safety, solvent resistance, and material compatibility, as well as cycle performance, compatibility with HCFC-22 compressors, air conditioner system development and optimization
