The authors used 35S-cystine and 3H-thymidine for autoradiography to obtain DNA synthesis during keratinization. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Two young male mice were injected with 35 micro-Hescuronomethionine and micro-H 3H-thymidine respectively. The esophageal tissue was treated by the method of histology. The section thickness was 5μ and the autoradiogram was stained with hematoxylin and eosin.
