“西部大开发项目”(Go West Project)由荷兰记者Michiel Hulshof和建筑师Daan Roggeveen发起,是一个关于中国中西部主要大城市新发展的一个交叉性研究项目,主要针对中国中西部城市建筑、城市规划和城市文化方面进行探索和研究。本次双年展上,他们邀请了中国中西部的出租车司机驾驶他们的出租车前往深圳。6天,6辆出租车讲述6座城市的故事,这些出租车将作为“移动展览馆”驶于深圳各个地方。参与这次活动的司机来自长沙(968公里),武汉(1440公里),重庆(1650公里),郑州(1762公里),石家庄(2204公里)以及呼和浩特(2633 km)。在整个旅途中,乘客不仅能看到来自各个城市的照片,还能听到来自这些城市最新的歌曲以及从听到出租车司机们讲述这些城市的故事。
Launched by Dutch journalist Michiel Hulshof and architect Daan Roggeveen, Go West Project is an interdisciplinary research project on new developments in major metropolitan cities in central and western China. It focuses on urban construction in central and western China , Urban planning and urban culture to explore and research. At this Biennale, they invited taxi drivers from central and western China to drive their cabs to Shenzhen. 6 days, 6 cabs tells the story of 6 cities, these cabs will be “Mobile Exhibition Hall” in various parts of Shenzhen. The drivers involved were Changsha (968 km), Wuhan (1440 km), Chongqing (1650 km), Zhengzhou (1762 km), Shijiazhuang (2204 km) and Hohhot (2633 km). Throughout the trip, passengers can not only see photos from various cities, but also hear the latest songs from these cities and stories from the taxi drivers about the cities.
