一、前言基础隔震作为一门技术以减轻结构的地震震害,正在被美国的工程师们慢慢接受。基础隔震的实施,也给应用工程师们和建筑业带来了不少棘手的问题。本文就这些技术性和非技术性的问题作了讨论,并对最近美国两个基础隔震工程实例以及它们所出现的技术问题的解决方法作了介绍。直到最近四分之一个世纪,基础隔震体系的实施才成为现实,仅管这种企图将房屋同地震地面运动的影响隔开的设想成为工程师们感兴趣的话题已经很长时间
I. INTRODUCTION The use of base isolation as a technology to reduce structural earthquake damage is being slowly accepted by engineers in the United States. The implementation of base isolation has also brought a lot of problems to application engineers and the construction industry. This article discusses these technical and non-technical issues, and introduces recent examples of two basic seismic isolation projects in the United States and the solutions to their emerging technical problems. It was not until the last quarter century that the implementation of the base-isolation system became a reality. It was a long time since the idea of separating the houses from the influence of earthquake ground motions became a topic of interest to engineers.
