软木地板取材于栓皮栎,合理采剥,树木不会受到任何损害,软木取自大自然,本身无毒无害,制造使用的胶粘剂不含甲醛等有害物质,符合环保要求,软木是真正的绿色环保材料。地板的芯材采用E1级的HDF板,其本身就是环保基材,再加上两面都被完全不含甲醛的软木层包裹,是真正的绿色环保地板。软木是华栎木的保护层,即树皮,俗称栓皮栎。软木的厚度一般为4至5厘米,优质的软木可达8至9厘米。软木素有“软黄金”之称,具有密度低、可压缩、有弹性、不透气、隔水、防潮、耐油、耐酸、减振、隔音、隔热、阻燃、绝缘、耐磨等一系列优良特性,集万千宠爱于一身。软木装饰材料集软木众多特性于一身,具有其他装饰材料无法比拟的优越性。早在100多年前,欧洲的一些发达国家就已经开始制造和使用软木装饰材料了。软木地板在我国的应用可追溯到1932年,那时,仅有1厘米厚的简易的软木地板被用在北京首都图书馆,使用了70多年仅磨损掉0.5mm。
