从中华优秀传统文化在海外尤其是英语世界翻译传播的角度看,《老子》当排名第一。关于《老子》在西方的传播,目前所知,西方较早的《老子》传本是比利时传教士卫方济(1651-1729)的拉丁文译本。1842年,儒莲在巴黎出版了《老子》的法文译本。1870年,维克多·斯特劳斯的《老子》德文译本问世。1884年,在伦敦出版的巴尔福的《道书》是《老子》较早的英文译本。至上世纪“60年代,(《老子》)
From the perspective of Chinese excellent traditional culture in translation and communication overseas, especially in the English-speaking world, ”Lao Zi“ should rank first. With regard to the spread of ”Lao Tzu“ in the West, as far as I know, the earlier Lao Tzu in the West was a Latin translation of Belgian missionary Wei Fangji (1651-1729). In 1842, Julian published the French translation of Lao Tzu in Paris. In 1870, Victor Strauss’s Laozi German translation came out. In 1884, Balfour’s Book of Tao, published in London, was the earlier English translation of Lao Tzu. To the last century ”60’s, (“ Lao Tzu ”)
