清代著名语言文字学家段玉裁在其代表作《说文解字注》中引当时方言俗语证古语,凡达三百余处。对段氏所引材料的可信性及段氏引证方法正确与否,历来争论不下,至今悬而未定。我们认为:运用现代语言学知识,参考现代汉语方言的实际情况对《段注》所引方言作一历史考察,是有学术价值的。在对段氏所引方言作系统考察时,我们发现段氏所引方言绝大多数属吴方言,而且许多是他的家乡方言——金坛方言。在《说文段注与金坛方言》一文中,我们对“段玉裁的母语”、“段玉裁是否用金坛方言证古语?”及“用金坛方言考辨段注所引方言的信度”等问题已作论证,本文想结合现代汉语吴方言特别是金坛方言,对段氏引方言证古语的部分内容作较详细的考辨,并对段氏引证方法的得失谈几点粗浅的看法。
Duan Yu, a famous linguistics and linguist in the Qing dynasty, drew on the ancient dialect of the dialect in his masterpiece “Shuo Wen Jie Zi Zhu”, reaching more than 300. The credibility of the materials cited by Duan and Duan’s citation method is correct or not, has always been controversial, so far undetermined. We think it is of academic value to make a historical study of the dialect quotation cited in the Notes by using the knowledge of modern linguistics and the actual conditions in modern Chinese dialects. In the systematic study of the dialects quoted by Duan, we found that the vast majority of dialects spoken by Duan were in Wu Dialect, and many were dialects of his hometown, Jintan. In the text of “Syllabus and Jintan Dialect”, we have to say “Duan Yucai’s native language”, “Duan Yucai’s use of the Jintan dialect of the Old Argument?” And " This paper tries to combine the modern Chinese Wu Dialect, especially the Jintan dialect, to make a detailed examination of the contents of Duan’s Quotations on the Old Arguments, and on the gains and losses of Duan’s citation method Point of view superficial.
