语法翻译法,又称“翻译法”、“古典法”。它提倡依靠母语教授外语,在教学中以翻译和练习为基本手段,以学习语法为入门途径。它是我国英语教学史上最具有生命力的教学方法之一。然而近几年来,随着交际法、自然法等一些新型教学方法的影响,以语法规则讲解为主的传统翻译法受到了盲目的排斥。笔者作为一名初中英语教师将结合语法翻译法的优点和缺点探讨其在初中英语教学中的适用性。一、语法翻译教学法的优势
Grammar translation method, also known as “translation method ”, “classical method ”. It advocates relying on mother tongue teaching foreign languages, translation and practice in teaching as the basic means to learn grammar as a starting point. It is one of the most viable teaching methods in the history of English teaching in our country. However, in recent years, with the influence of some new teaching methods such as communicative approach and natural law, the traditional translation method based on grammatical rules has been blindly excluded.
