Taiwan is a beautiful treasure island in the southeast sea of our country and an integral part of the motherland since ancient times. With regard to the historical origins of the relations between the mother mainland and Taiwan, it can be said that the history of the mainland can be seen in the written records. As early as the Three Kingdoms period, Wu Sunquan sent a general to the legendary Yi Island to send a warm-temperate fleet to Taiwan, establishing a link between the mainland and Taiwan. Later, during the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Yong sent three trips to Taiwan. During the Yuan Dynasty, the Yuan government set up the Penghu Patrol Department in Penghu to take charge of Penghu and Taiwan. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the national hero Zheng Chenggong defeated the Dutch colonists and regained Taiwan In 1683, the Qing army entered Taiwan. In the following year, the Qing government set up the Taiwan government under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province. However, written records show that the relationship between the mother mainland and Taiwan can not be fully explained yet only when the Three Kingdoms began. According to the findings and research conducted by experts and scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait on the ancient human fossils and ancient cultural relics on the island of Taiwan over the past three decades. The relations between the motherland and Taiwan should be traced back to primitive society in ancient times.
