西北师范大学音乐学院前身是国立西北师范学院劳作专修科,设立于1939年,经过70余年的发展,成西北师范大学下设的25个学院之一,在全国高校274个同类专业中排名第20位。音乐学院现有音乐学(教师教育)和音乐表演两个本科专业,下设作曲与音乐学系、声乐系、器乐系、键盘系、管弦乐系、民族器乐系、西部音乐文化研究中心、专业技能训练中心、资料中心和音乐中专(音乐附中)等内设机构。现有音乐与舞蹈学、艺术学理论两个一级硕士学位授予权点和1个艺术硕士专业学位授予权点,可以招收“音乐教育人类学”博士研究生和中国传统
The predecessor of Northwest Normal University Conservatory of Music is the labor department of Northwest Normal University.
