美国1935年,位于华盛顿的美国联邦最高法院东门上方的三角形山墙内,雕(diao)刻了一组以“司法乃自由之守护者”为主题的人物像,中央三人是被尊(zun)为世界立法始者的孔子、摩西和梭(suo)伦。1984年,在纽约的唐人街,纽约华人为庆祝美国建国200周年竖立了一尊孔子青铜雕像,铜像基座用中文铭刻着“大成至圣孔子像”和孔子《礼运大同篇》的节选文章。2009年,为纪念孔子诞辰2560周年,一尊高2.21米的孔子青铜雕像安放在休士顿市中心赫尔曼公园内供人们瞻(zhan)仰。基座上用中英文刻着孔子的经典语录。
United States In 1935, within a triangular gable wall above the east gate of the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, a group of portraits featuring the theme “Justice is the guardian of freedom” were carved into a diao, the central three were revered (zun) Confucius, Moses and suo Lun, the world’s founding fathers.
