A new study by academics at the Galdakao-Usansolo Hospital in Spain shows that walking at least two miles a day (about 3.2 kilometers) can reduce the risk of people experiencing a serious respiratory illness The risk of hospitalization also reduces the risk of developing the disease. Scientists found that patients with lung disease who did not exercise regularly were twice as likely to be hospitalized for lung disease as those who love exercise. For these patients, walking 2 to 4 miles per day (about 3.2 ~ 6.4 km) is the most suitable exercise for them.
