张纯如为美籍华裔女作家,于1997年在美国出版了《南京大屠杀》一书,不久登上《纽约时报》畅销书排行榜达三个月之久,在美国造成轰动,震惊了西方学术界,此书对西方国家了解第二次世界大战亚洲战场中日本侵华历史有很大的影响,为第二次大战日本侵略中国时的千万受难者争取公道。张纯如不幸于2004年在美国加州自杀身亡,其母张盈盈于2011年出版了英文回忆录《张纯如:无法忘却历史的女子》一书。本文为作者关于写作此书经验的描述。
Zhang Chunru, a Chinese-American woman writer who published The Nanjing Massacre in the United States in 1997, soon boarded the New York Times bestseller list for three months and caused a sensation in the United States that shocked Western scholarship This book has a great influence on understanding the history of Japan’s invasion of China in the Asian battlefields of the Second World War in Western countries and is fair to the tens of millions of victims of Japan’s aggression against China in the Second World War. Zhang Chunru, unfortunately, committed suicide in California in 2004. Her mother, Zhang Yingying, published her English memoir, “Zhang Chunru: The Woman Who Can not Forget the History,” in 2011. This article is the author’s description of the book’s writing experience.
