财务科长在企业中是企业领导的主要助手,他的能力应是多方面的:一是给领导当参谋,要具有参与企业决策的能力,能提出措施方案和目标规划等;二是要有统帅企业经济活动的能力,要能在企业中建立一套完整的核算体系;三是要有协调沟通能力,协调沟通厂内外关系,做好企业内部各职能部门的协调;四是要能开拓财会新途径,善于总结经验,为企业发展开创一个新局面;五是要有能协助企业领导处理有关财会问题的能力,并能根据已取得的财会数据,分析经济活动动向,预测今后变化趋势,做出科学结论.这就要求财务科长不但要会算账,还要会用账.因此,要当好一个财务科长,必须掌握和具有多方面的知识和能力.
