自力更生选挖竹母 加快发展毛竹生产

我场地处江南太湖流域的低山半丘陵地,雨量充沛,气候温和,适宜毛竹的生长和发展。 文化大革命以来,我们遵照毛主席“绿化祖国”、“实行大地园林化”和“竹子要大发展”的伟大指示,重点发展了毛竹生产。今年春天,我场自力更生在新竹园内选挖竹母3300多株,成活率超过了一九七五年96%的水平,基本上闯过了毛竹造林的“成活关”,这对我场进一步发展毛竹生产提供了一定的经验。 回顾我场毛竹造林的发展过程,也是贯彻执行毛主席“自力更生,艰苦奋斗”伟大指示的过程。开始,我们思想上认为:要发展毛竹生产,最大的困难就是竹母的来源问题。我场是发展毛竹新区,成林竹园不多,要大面积的造林,过去主要靠外地支援。这既不能做到“随挖随种”,又带来了选种不严、病害蔓延和数量不足等问题。 My field is located in the southern half of the hilly Taihu Lake basin, abundant rainfall, mild climate, suitable for the growth and development of bamboo.
