In November 2013, at a movie theater in Taipei, several of my friends watched solemnly the Taiwanese documentary “Seen Taiwan” that was hot at the time. In mainland China, there are only a handful of documentaries that can be used on the cinema. Even if screening is performed in a particular art theater, the amount of filming is pitifully small.
