The authors used electrophysiological experiments on cats using overlay techniques. At the level of cat’s auditory pathway, the lesions were impaired by electrocoagulation. The potentials produced by the sound stimulation were recorded before and after surgery. The cat’s brainstem was sectioned to observe the lesion range.
