工业厂房围护结构采用墙板是实现墙体改革,促进建筑工厂化、机械化、标准化,不断提高建筑工业化水平,加快基本建设速度的重要途径。铁道部建厂工程局在1965年设计北京二七机车车辆工厂柴油机车间采用炉渣混凝土墙板的基础上,1975年又在南口机车车辆机械工厂扩建轴承联合厂房墙体设计中采用了炉渣夹心墙板。墙板面积达7,660.8米~2,简况如下:
