The results of exogenous putrescine treatment before storage at low temperature showed that the low temperature of 2 ℃ induced the increase of endogenous polyamines content and ethylene release in mango and the rapid decrease of pericarp SOD activity resulted in the continuous increase of MDA content and cell membrane permeability Rise. Exogenous putrescine treatment increased the content of endogenous polyamines, reduced ethylene production, maintained a high level of SOD activity in the pericarp, increased the MDA content and membrane permeability slowly, and delayed the occurrence of chilling injury. At the later stage of storage at 10 ℃, there was also a peak of ethylene, MDA content and permeability of the pericarp gradually increased, which is the normal physiological changes in mango ripening
