本文从国民党文化官员张道藩的人生和政治、文艺活动入手,考察其文艺、政治理念与个人文艺观念的分裂状态;探讨国民党文艺政策的发生发展、基本特点、内在矛盾和困境;分析个人命运与政党政策的关系,并通过对个人文艺论述的考察说明政党政策的内涵。自1930年代始,国民党文艺思想以三民主义为圭臬,以民族主义和传统道德对抗阶级学说,在文艺体制化、组织化方面缺少有效方法;迁台后对文艺管控的加强是在没有遇到强劲挑战的情况下实现的。
