日本的东洋橡胶工业和熊谷组两公司1988年10月20日发布,他们共同研制开发出可将地震振动减至1/3—1/5的“基础减震积层橡胶”和“地板减震系统”。基础减震积层橡胶以天然橡胶为基础,为使其具有60年以上超耐久性,研制时,还利用了特殊配合加工技术和减震技术。它是将薄薄的橡胶层和钢板交替叠积起来,再进行硫化粘结,并用厚钢板上下组装构制而成的。改变橡胶层的厚度和层数,便可使整个柔韧度和硬度
