川合康三,1948年生,日本静冈县浜松市人。1967年考入京都大学文学部本科,1976年修完博士课程,在京都大学任助手。1979—1987年任教于东北大学文学部,1987—2012年任教于京都大学文学部,先后任副教授、教授。2012年从京都大学退休,担任京都大学文学部名誉教授。2011年4月至2015年3月,任日本中国学会理事长。川合教授又曾于1981—1982年在中国南开大学进修;1987—1988年、2015—2016年在美国哈佛大学哈佛燕京学社、东亚系做访问学者;2008年在法国法兰西学院访问;2012—2013年任台湾大学文学院客座教授;2014—
Chuan Kang Kang III, born in 1948, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. In 1967 admitted to Kyoto University, undergraduate, 1976 completed doctoral course, Kyoto University assistant. From 1979 to 1987, he taught at the Department of Literature of Tohoku University. From 1987 to 2012, he taught at the Faculty of Literature of Kyoto University and successively served as associate professor and professor. He retired from Kyoto University in 2012 and was honorary professor of literature at Kyoto University. From April 2011 to March 2015, he served as chairman of the Japan Society for Chinese Studies. Professor Chuanhe also studied in Nankai University in China from 1981 to 1982; he was a visiting scholar at Harvard Yanjing Institute and Harvard University from 1987 to 1988 and from 2015 to 2016; a visiting scholar at French Institute of France in 2008; 2013 as a visiting professor at National Taiwan University; 2014-
