Modern medical research shows that zinc is an essential trace element in the human body. In terms of physiological functions, although zinc is not as famous as iron, its significance to life is no less impressive. Many diseases such as heart disease, hepatosplenomegaly, hypogonadism, pneumoconiosis and cancer are all related to the content of zinc in the human body. It was earlier known that zinc deficiency affects bone growth and sexual development. Children with zinc deficiency in the body often exhibit loss of appetite, insensitivity of taste, height and weight are not comparable to children without zinc deficiency. The content of zinc in blood of pneumoconiosis patients was significantly lower than that of normal people. In patients with rheumatoid arthritis, the small joints, such as the fingers, do not stretch. It is now known that it is related to zinc deficiency.
