This paper investigates the sampled-data containment control for second-order multi-agent systems with diverse communication delays, which means that the time delays between the information communication of any two agents may be not the same.A distributed containment control protocol is presented to realize local control strategies for the second-order multi-agent systems. We give the scope of gain parameters and sampling period, and utilize the properties of the product of infinite nonnegative matrices to derive a necessary and sufficient condition. The obtained results guarantee that all the followers can asymptotically converge to a convex hull spanned by those of the leaders. Finally, some numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our theoretical results.
