凡是搞过数字电路设计的人都知道,用通用的标准逻辑器件制成一块具有特写逻辑功能的电路是很麻烦的。首先要选择合适的标准逻辑器件,并在此基础上进行逻辑电路的设计,然后再进行相应的印刷电路板的设计,最后经焊接制成电路板。如果想改变电路的逻辑功能,上面所述的工作都必须从头做起。可以想象,所用的集成电路越多,则电路出问题的可能性及电路的设计工作量将相应增大,所要设计的电路板的体积也将相应增大。
