There are some special forms of language in modern Chinese, positive meaning in negative form and negative meaning in positive form. Almost did not buy = bought, so easy = not easy, before the future = come before. Although such structures are not commonplace, they are widely used. Contrary to rhetorical questions and irony, they are also different from the orthodox structure that affirms positive meaning in the negative form (not bad = good). The existence of these structures has its meaning of existence. This article tries to analyze and inspect one special form, namely “good / bad + adjectives”, so as to solve the problems of different meanings of different collocations and their different expressions at the time of use.
