The primary intention of Wang Yangming’s theory of Book of Changes is the thinking about life and death that he was facing during his early stay in Longchang.It included the advancements and retreat to resolve his predicament,which finally helps him to establish the principle of mastering the thoughts of Book of Changes through Escaping.By reading and interpreting Book of Changes,and also making use of the methods to explain the life,Wang Yangming greatly improved his understanding and assurance about advancements and retreat.It also provided a solid metaphysical foundation and rich ideological connotations for Wang Yangming’s realization of Taoism in Longchang,and led to his tremendous ideological transformation.Furthermore,it also shaped his personality structure and the ideal of life which is somehow official but also secluded,somehow Confucianism but also Taoism,and somehow lofty but also rich in his later life.
