一、数字图书馆的概念最早提出数字图书馆概念的是美国。从九十年代初美国就把数字图书馆作为新兴的有发展潜力的重要研究领域,将数字图书馆研究与建设纳入克林顿政府所倡导的国家信息基础设施(NII)计划。通过对数字图书馆的学习、分析、研究,我们可以将数字图书馆分为:狭义的数字图书馆和广义的数字图书馆两种。狭义的数字图书馆概念认为数字图书馆是一个组织机构,是电子化的图书馆,是依托因特网存在的图书馆。把数字图书馆看作是一个无限的信息空间,利用网络技术实现跨地区、跨国家的多个数字化图书馆有效连接,使读者通过统一界面在任何地点、任何时间都能获取所需信息,数字图书馆实质上是依托因特网存在的
First, the concept of digital library Earliest concept of digital library is the United States. From the early 1990’s, the United States put digital library as an emerging research field with potential for development and brought digital library research and construction into the National Information Infrastructure (NII) initiative advocated by the Clinton administration.
