With the deepening of pragmatic concepts in reading teaching, many people of insight have put forward suggestions on how to pay attention to stylistic features for reading teaching. In the higher education of the Sujiao version, the classical novels occupy an important teaching position in the entire textbook layout. So, how should teachers make classroom teaching according to the unique stylistic features of novels? The author uses the text of “Half Candle” as an example to explore the teaching value which fits the characteristics of the novel through the method of textual reading.
