铝工业生产包括用铝土矿生产氧化铝和氧化铝生产电解铝两个主要过程。因此,氧化铝是铝工业的基础,对铝工业乃至国民经济的发展都起着重要作用。我国氧化铝工业起步于50年代,在“优先发展铝”的方针指导下,近20年来,我国氧化铝工业取得了较大发展,成为世界上主要的氧化铝生产国。目前,产量已居世界第4位。虽然我国氧化铝工业已经取得了很大成绩,但结构不合理、产品竞争力不强、自给率不高等问题十分突出,严重制约着我国铝工业的进一步发展。加入WTO以后,随着市场开放程度的提高,我国氧化铝工业将面临着更加严峻的形势。

At present, the output has ranked No. 4 in the world. Although China’s alumina industry has made great achievements, its structure is irrational, the competitiveness of its products is not strong, its self-sufficiency rate is not high and so on, which seriously hinders the further development of China’s aluminum industry. With the accession to the WTO, with the opening up of the market, China’s alumina industry will face a more severe situation.
