On August 26, 2002, at 23:45, Liu Ying, member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and member of the Standing Committee of the Fifth CPPCC National Committee, died in Beijing at the age of 97 because of invalid medical treatment. The “revolutionary eldest sister” who joined the party as early as 1925 has taken a long, arduous and legendary journey.
