正式进入采访话题之前,彭继钢先和记者聊起了有关音乐的话题。在他看来,中国传统乐器比较适合独奏,而很多脍炙人口的中国民曲也多以独奏为主。这种现象在西方就恰好相反:西洋乐器多以合奏才能演绎出动人的曲子。多年的投资银行经验使他看到了音乐上的“独奏”和“合奏”反映在中西方不同的企业家身上:涉及到记者关心的中小企业融资难的问题,彭继钢认为,除了政策上和环境上一些因素以外,中小企业自身也应该负有很大的责任。

In his view, traditional Chinese instruments are more suitable for solo music, while many popular folk songs in China are mostly solos.
