On August 1 this year, after reviewing and approving the Defense Acquisition Commission of the Ministry of National Defense, the U.S. Navy’s new offensive nuclear submarine (NSNS) entered the stage of comprehensive engineering development with a research and development investment of 6 billion U.S. dollars. This type of submarine will replace the “Sea Wolf” nuclear submarine to become the main force of the future U.S. Navy’s attack submarine. The first project was started in 1998 and will be built three times every two years (the total construction volume has not yet been determined). The contractor is Electric Boat Co. of General Dynamics. New Weapon Required for Pull-Out The existing attack submarines of the U.S. Navy and the “Seawolf” submarine submarines started construction in 1989 are all developed to meet the needs of the ocean-going operations. These submarines dive deep, wide range of activities; with the protection of the sea, not easy to be air, water or underwater reconnaissance equipment found. After the pattern of bipartisan confrontation ended, the United States readjusted its military strategy and focused its preparations on Soviet preparations in the Cold War
