In order to investigate the effect of chemotherapy on reducing the infection rate of schistosomiasis in humans and animals and the susceptibility of zoonotic infection, we selected 30 villages in the Dongting Lake area since 1987 as a pilot and conducted a longitudinal survey of 8 years since.
